Boy Toy's. My toy's, Toy's and tool's boy's and fool's. Some boy toy's are power tools, saw's, hammer's and chisel's. Some boy toy's are automotive in nature. My general contractor toy's are my tool's. What's the difference?
Over the years as a counselor and doctor, I would talk with my patient's about the need to have fun, to have play in their life. For some, painting a canvas is play, for other's it is their chose job and work. The human psyche needs relaxation and play. The concept of "inner child" grew out of this age old wisdom. Life, as solely a serious nature is really no life at all. The stoics spoke of service, gratitude, meditation and the pursuit of truth or wisdom as the perfect way of living. Morning walks in nature, not for aerobic conditioning, but for pleasure. Companionship and discourse. Prayer and meditation. And, though Plato did not put it in print, PLAY. We seek entertainment, and often pay outrageous prices for the ticket's. Amphitheater's, colosseum's and stadiums exist across the planet. What for, so that we can be entertained without labor. So, do yourself a favor, make room in you day, to have fun, and know that it is one of the best medicine's.
