Inspirational Tuesday's:

Recently I wrote about our historical use of comparisons. A poignant simile, is the philosopher's and the monk's/church's truth, that without the awareness of pain, we could not know joy. I would believe that most people concur, though the times between pain and joy reflect profoundly on our view of our life. The Christian church promises that with death, God will end our suffering. It tells us to endure suffering through our faith in an ever-loving God. It is a testament of how to be obedient to an omnipotent creator. It is not a self-help book on physical and mental wellness, it is an important self-help book on spiritual well-being.

Originally the word "suffer" meant to fully experience life. This is one of the physically, psycho-neuro-immunologically, neuro-chemical and glandular self-care practices. Acceptance is a profound neutralizer of adrenal production, fear and anxiety. This is not a very encouraging thought for a life that is nothing but painful suffering, as if this is a true state of human existence. It is guaranteed to reduce nutritional depletion, digestive dysfunction and mental excesses.

More than finding peace through acceptance, pain exists as a gateway to joy. The laws of physics state that for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. The laws of spiritual physics, and religious testament would state that the longer and more severe the suffering, with sustained faith and obedience, the longer and greater the joy to follow. Glass half full sentiment, but why not choose the positive perspective. Mississippi Blues day on the live pod cast; 8 am PDT.
