I rise today, thinking upon the Buddha, and his wisdom. He would advise to all, that when you rise, you open your eyes. Being present, and following the Buddha's teachings of loving kindness, is a very fulfilling path. Being present, is not a habit, it is a state of existence. So, today, consider habits and their potential to leave us blind to new opportunity. Are some of our daily practices, habits that hold us from change? Then, when we see the rut's of habitual living, do we change, only to find another habit, that keeps us from being ever-present. My creator, is always ever-present, but few of us are personally always ever-present, some even less so. No teaching. of the Buddha, states this as clearly as his sacred text, the Dhammapda:
