I started this site with a desire to teach and mentor other's; a role I lived for around 40 years as a preceptoring clinical doctor with the National University of Natural Medicine. I further blended the American religious education structure as a spiritual school for spiritual and natural healing arts. This was called the Instituted of Advanced Paradigms, and had 25 students enrolled in 2016, with 9 mentoring elder professors. The curriculum was developed over 10 years with many dedicated doctor's and healer's contributing to the development. The first of three degree programs was Minister of Philiopathy. Philiopathy was a new word, coined with the US Patent Office and defined by the Home of Loving Spirit, a non profit registered with the Oregon Secretary of State. The church and school folded in the spring, with my hospital injuries derailing the work and institution. It is time for me to return to this effort and begin sharing what my elder's and mentor's shared with me.
Philopathy is a word created by blending the two Greek word's philio (compassionate, friendship) and pathos (caring empathy). Using tools of spiritual healing, fasting, nature, herbal support and prayer, the minister of philiopathy can provide support, care and relief for many, while staying clear of the practice of medicine.
I plan to move to Southern Oregon soon, and at that time, I will begin registrations and contact of supportive faculty. Then the fun begins. I will begin regular blogs on this site, related to nature cure and philiopathy, and will open up subscription portal's to allow multiple levels of personal contact.
