Music Monday's:

Ultrasonic, a term for sound that is outside of our hearing range. Infrared, and ultraviolet are the edges of the visual range. Our range os smell, is highly variable, with examples of indigenous hunters being able to detect the species and sex of a primate, from urine over 300 feet away. People who have no vision, often enhance their hearing, and touch. People who are deaf, may enhance their visual processes, but enhancement has limits, as we are humans, not bat, dolphin's not beagles; you get the point. Humans can train dogs to detect certain smells, like bombs and drugs, also they can smell out cancer in humans. Humans smell with individually developed attractions to some odors and repulsion from others. Science says that the essence of rose oil is the highest odor that humans can detect. It should not be surprising that there is a range of smell, just as a range of visible light and of audible sounds. They are all just different frequencies of light. Behind the light that is the universe is nothingness, the substance of philosophy and religion.

So, we have certain limitations on eyes that see, ears that hear, taste, and touch. Our senses are limited by our flesh, and our humanity, but the heart transcends the range of human limitations, and sensory limitations, in that it is all knowing, and though it has a physical structure and function, it is one with light. That our body, mind and spirit is whole, only through the heart, it is not surprising that music has such powerful influences on we humans, again, individual taste in music is a given. Some are happy with rap, some are disturbed by it, same with classical, opera, rock, blues, country and all the bebop crooner's. Today's music is TBD, but will go live at 8 am.
