Music Monday's: Again the muse.

Today's pod cast: A couple of Hoagy Carmichael song's, that helped define the twentieth century. As Time Goes By, from Casablanca, remains with Somewhere Over The Rainbow, as unparalleled in Hollywood Cinema. Stardust, a song that entered his field, some 6 months before he took the melody and crafted the greatest selling song of all time. During the time of Hoagy Carmichael, Will Roger's and the Weaver's were joining him as America's greatest 20th century muses.

We, as a people, have so, so many influencer's in our lives. From the start, the virtues and failings of our parent's influence and define our live's. Our hood's, our school's, our extended family's further set the parameter's of our life choice's. Then we have our own honing of our skills, our own spiritual practices, our partnership's and friendship's, and our individual life-compasses, goal's, and passion's. We are subtly influenced by so, so, so many more influencer's. New's, movie's, music, comedy, fashion, sport's, flag waving patriotism, and more. We have a challenging task in navigating the many self-serving influencer's.

The New York scene of the late 40's, 50's and early 60's gave us the Bohemian's, the Steinbeck, Hemingway, Gloria Steinbeck, and Vanderbilt, Lenny Bruce, Jack Kerouac, and Shell Silverstein. Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Miles Davis and John Coltrane, William Buckley, Gore Vidal, David Frost, William Duffy, "Sugar Blues", Rachael Carlson, Silent Spring, Truman Capote, the James Mason, iconoclastic Lolita, and the "ugly American" horror film, "brain fart" get back to you later, a tourist is attacked by young boy's in Greece.

I plan to add some Beatles to the pod cast. The were one of the single most influencer's of the 20th century, world-wide. Some muse, much music, but, so very much more. I hope you all enjoy the show.
