Silent Sunday's:

Today we focus on breath and quiet. We entertain the possibility of taking a quiet, breath focused meditation each day of the week. Not too long, a short meditation pays dividends. Founding father Benjamin Franklin is reported to have begun each day in meditation, asking what he might do to serve mankind, and then again, at sunset, he went into quiet meditation, asking what he had done to serve others. He lamented after the Revolution, that it had been a waste, and how much better the money and lives could have been used to build roads, bridges and clear farm land. He may have been a womanizer in Paris, but he might also have been the first American smeared with false press.

A discipline is an unconscious regular practice or habit. To find discipline, one simply needs to practice. With time, you will find a personal favorite technique. Quiet music, a candle, dark silence, a place where you practice and not nap. The are about the only rules for establishing a daily discipline. Good luck on your intention, with intention, you will succeed.
