Wednesday; Opinions, news and commentary:

As I meditate on the severe conflict in Gaza, I see parallels with the story of Saul, blinded by his disobedience. Saul was without hesitation to have Christians stoned to death. On a trip, the road to Demascus, he found the truth, and his vision was restored, and his name then became Paul. Saul, like Benjamin of Israel, felt that his people, his religion was above all other's, even though it had gone through centuries of convenient alteration of over a thousand ypoears of oral tradition. Here we find the source of the tipping of the money tables at the Temple, and the constant charge of hypocrisy by the Pharisee's (Rabbinic order) and Sadducee's. (church lawyers).

The news of the week is pretty dark and horrifying with wars, military build ups, and multiple international conflicts. Tribal conflicts in Africa and Asia, persecutions in many dictatorial nations, and starvation and famine in so many regions.

I was please to see that Eric Clapton just did a benefit concert to support the children in Gaza. Music is needed, showing up to protest the injustices is needed, and I have the opinion that a world intent of healing prayers of peace is a powerful need at this moment in time. I have no reasoning to believe that Benjamin Netanyahu will ever become the equivalent of Saul to Paul, but I can believe that he could, if he chose, see his evil ways and his abominations. We could only hope, and we should all consider daily prayers of peace and revelation for the world. I think 7 am, or earlier would work best for me, but if every time zone, had multiple prayer's for peace, then possibly unexplainable forces could help heal this sick time. Just a thought, and an opinion.
