Wednesdays opinion's and news:

Our local and international news update includes wars, of course, and most are innundated on both the Israeli and Hamas conflict (why is this not referred to as a civil war? It is one group of citizens, with huge military advantage, killing and starving citizens of their own nation. Of course hard liners in the government and within the religious leadership, consider Jews the chosen people, and all others beneath them. Sort of like the Amazonian tribes who held that they weren't cannibal's, as they only ate hairy monkey-family animals, like the bearded Spanish). Russia and Ukraine continue to destroy each other and create another giant carbon footprint in our global warming issues. Within the United States, we bid farewell to a Broadway Icon, 91 year old Chita Rivera, known for her Tony award roles in West Side Story and Chicago. An interesting amicus brief was sent to the US Supreme Court, from scholarly and respected retired judge, Michael Ludig, stating that Donald Trump should be banned from running for any office. The Republican National Committee got outed as they tried a hidden move to eliminate the remaining Presidential Primary's and declare Donald Trump the Republican candidate for President. Whether it is solely the affect of non-stop travel between court appearances and political rally's, the public is witnessing a more confused and disturbed person over the past months, with little to convey competency as President. Finally, still on the political front, probably the most significant event in January, is the return of John Stewart. At one time, while he was host of the daily show, the majority of American voter's between the age of 20-40, said that their main source of news was late night comedy shows. I have heard other's wonder how Trump would have fared in 2016, had Stewart not semi-retired at the beginning of the campaign.

Next week's opinion topic will be artificial intelligence food/medical practices in America.

Today, something I have considered since the start of the Israeli civil war. I believe that the independent Jewish state experiment of 70 years has proven itself to be a horrific failure, and it is time for a new solution.

Just as Vatican City is independent of Italy, the holy land should be an international site of non-state controlled boundary's. Current inhabitants could maintain homes and businesses and practice their faiths and religions, but no state government, president, simply an international oversight to maintain peace and prosperity. Rarely do religious groups rise to serve a state with the needs of all citizens truly respected. Just as colonization was a highly flawed model of governance,

establishing a religious order at the head of a nation state is a highly flawed model as well. So here's to a new line of discussion and a long debate, and a failed experiment in the Middle East.
